EU-interconnected insolvency registers

Wednesday, July 23, 2014

Since July 7, 2014, the EU e-Justice portal (e-justice.europa.eu) has been expanded to include a one-stop-shop application. From now on the insolvency register of Germany, Estonia, the Netherlands, Romania, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Austria can be shared across Europe in an application. This facilitates the search for insolvent individuals and legal entities in the participating EU countries especially for business owners, creditors and investors significantly.

In a further stage of development a number of Member States will follow in the future. The information given is free and without further requirements in the language of the requestor is available. Terms of national insolvency regimes are explained.

In Austria, bankruptcies, foreclosures and other legal publications can be found on the edicts site (www.edikte.justiz.gv.at) since 2000.
